Angelic Communication

Angelite “The Angel Stone” is also known as Blue Anhydrite. Anhydrite can also be found in colours of blue, grey, pink, red and white but it is only the blue coloured variety that is known as Angelite. Its name comes from its strong vibrational ability to make contact with the angelic realm. The word angel comes from the ancient Greek language, meaning “messenger.”

It is also a fairly new crystal, having only been discovered in Peru in 1987. It is not a common crystal and is mainly found in Peru but may also be found in Germany and New Mexico. It is a Calcium Sulphate (Sulfate) of the sulphates class of crystals. It is opaque in appearance and its colour is light blue.

Angelite allows connection to the higher realms, facilitating angelic communication. It is a peaceful, soothing and uplifting crystal and is useful for support during times of transition. It is one of a group of higher vibrational crystals that can assist in smoothing the way for vibrational shifts, awareness and ascension. It can also balance the physical body with the etheric realms.

As it was only found quite recently, there are no legends attached to this crystal as yet, although Anhydrite rock was used to carve animal figurines in early Egyptian times.

Angelite is not associated with any one particular Goddess or Spirit Animal but may be used to connect with all the Angels and particularly Archangel Michael, who is the leader of all holy Angels and represents power, protection, faith, strength, and courage and is associated with the colour blue.

Spiritual Practice

Angelite is primarily associated with the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha), relating to communication, and is from where you speak your truth. Its secondary chakra is the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara), relating to spiritual connection, understanding and enlightenment. The secondary chakras are the Third Eye (Ajna), relating to insight, intuition, awareness and guidance.

Angelite also works with the Soul Star Chakra that lies six inches above the head. This crystal allows for greater spiritual growth, enhanced intuition, and clearer communication whilst allowing higher vibrational information to come into the auric field to be processed by the lower chakras.

In crystal healing, Angelite is said to help with illnesses and symptoms relating to arms, balancing the thyroid and the parathyroid glands, blood deficiencies, blood vessel, circulatory system, headaches, heart, infectious diseases, lungs, organ strengthening, osteoporosis, relieve tension, sleep, throat, unblock energy pathways, water retention and weight control.

Emotionally, Angelite is said to assist with coping with acceptance, anger, anxiety, communication, compassion, cruelty, emotional pain, fear, forgiveness, insecurity, peace, peacefulness, psychological pain, self-expression and truth.

On a spiritual level, it works on the Akashic records, Angel communication and connection, astral projection and travelling, astrology, attunement, clairsentience, connecting and communicating with spirit guides and totem animals, creativity, inner guidance, perception, spiritual protection, telepathy and visualisation.

Angelite is a modern birthstone for the Zodiac sign of Aquarius (20th January - 18th February). It does not appear on the anniversary list.

Meditation

Angelite is a perfect crystal for meditating with to help enhance the meditative state and allowing inspiration from spirit guides, guardians and or Angels enabling clarification of issues as they arise.

Important to Know

WARNING: Do not wear whilst bathing or swimming as it easily becomes damaged when wet.

As with all crystals you use regularly, don’t forget to cleanse and recharge it at least once a month.

For crystal healers who use crystals in their work, they should be cleansed after each client to remove any negative energy prior to being used on someone else.
