Fertility, Love & Protection
Tiger Iron is also known as “Mugglestone” probably a rehash of the name "Mucklestone or Moclestone" which is a place south-west of Newcastle-under–Lyme in Staffordshire, England where Tiger Iron was first discovered. The name Tiger Iron comes from its mix of Gold Tiger Eye and Iron Oxide in the form of Hematite.
Tiger Iron is a common crystal found in Africa, Australia, Brazil, England, Lake Superior in the USA and Mexico. It is a Silicon Dioxide with Iron Oxide (Hematite) of the trigonal crystal system. It comes in various shades of brown, gold, red and silver and is opaque in appearance often with the chatoyance of the other Tiger Eye crystals.
Tiger Iron is a mixture of Gold Tiger Eye, Hematite and Red Jasper which combines the healing properties of its constituent parts as well as those of its own to strengthen our connection to the Earth. It is a fabulous crystal for empaths and healers to keep them balanced, protected and centred whilst protecting from psychic attacks.
It works on the lower chakras and is said to be a helpful aid to those who feel emotionally, mentally or physically exhausted and burnt out. It can help the user find strength in times of change and danger and can also assist in finding new ways of dealing with old problems and to strengthen resolve. Like Gold Tiger Eye, Tiger Iron can assist in turning ideas into reality and is useful for artists and writers to use for creative ideas and solutions.
If placed near the entrances to your home or workplace, it is said to protect from negative energies and unwanted visitors. It will remove negative energies and emotions of other people from your aura and give a sense of calm and quiet even in a crowded space. It is particularly helpful if your emotions are low and you feel vulnerable both physically and emotionally.
Tiger Iron is not associated with any particular Goddess. However, Tiger Eye is associated with the Goddesses Bastet, the Egyptian Cat Goddess, and Sekhmet, the Egyptian Goddess of War and Healing. Hematite is associated with the Goddesses Aradia, the Tuscan Witch Goddess, and Ereshkigal, the Sumerian Goddess of the Underworld.
Tiger Iron is not associated with any particular Angel. However, Archangel Gabriel resonates with the colour gold and can be called upon to help with creativity.
Spiritual Awakening
Tiger Iron is primarily associated with the Base (Root) Chakra (Muladhara), relating to survival and security. Its secondary Chakras are the Sacral Chakra (Svadhistana), relating to creativity, sensuality, sexuality and desire for pleasure, and the Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura), relating to our identity and our power in this world.
In crystal healing, Tiger Iron is said to help with illnesses and symptoms relating to aching muscles, anaemia, birthing problems and pain, circulatory problems, cramp, fatigue, hip pain, kidneys, lungs, muscle pain, musculoskeletal issues, pancreas and physical strength.
It is thought to work by encouraging the cells of the body to remember that state of perfection when they were healthy and is also said to be useful for people with chemical or noise sensitivities such as those with a diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia.
Emotionally, Tiger Iron is said to assist with anger, bitterness, inferiority complexes, reducing resentment, stress and tension, and increasing self-confidence and self-worth.
Spiritually, it is useful for grounding and spiritual protection and Prana (Chi energy, life or breath).
Tiger Iron is not a traditional or ancient birthstone but is a modern birthstone for the Zodiac sign Leo (23rd July - 22nd August).
Tiger Iron is not on the anniversary list.

Important to Know
WARNING: As with all crystals you use regularly, don’t forget to cleanse and recharge it at least once a month.
For crystal healers who use crystals in their work, they should be cleansed after each client to remove any negative energy prior to being used on someone else.
PLEASE REMEMBER: Although the powers of crystals and stones are well documented and have been proven to help bring positivity into people's lives, they are never a substitute for medical advice.
