Genius & Discernment

Rainbow Fluorite the “Rainbow Keeper”, “Genius Stone” and “Gemstone of Discernment”; is also known as “multi-coloured Fluorite”. Fluorite was originally known as “Fluorspar” from the early 1500s, although it was in use long before that by the Ancient Egyptians and Romans. The name Fluorite comes from the Latin word “fluere” meaning “to flow”. Rainbow Fluorite is a common crystal found worldwide but with the largest deposits in Brazil, China, Mexico, Mongolia, Russia, South Africa and Spain.

It is a Calcium Fluoride of the halides class of crystals. Fluorite itself is colourless but the impurities of hydrocarbons found within it produce a wide variety of colours; Rainbow Fluorite comes in a mix of colours including blue, green, purple and yellow and is translucent to transparent in appearance.

Rainbow Fluorite is able to bring calm and order to chaotic situations whilst helping to verbalise ideas confidently. Once you feel its calming energies you will be able to focus and think with greater clarity; which is why it is a useful crystal for the workplace, particularly if you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed by your workload or ambitious deadlines. It can be used to cleanse, repair and stabilise the auric field, remove cords and shield against psychic attack.

Use it when dealing with toxic people or when you feel emotionally drained by other people’s negativity. As Rainbow Fluorite combines the colours of Fluorite, Green Fluorite and Purple Fluorite it holds a combination of both their properties, too. Whichever is the most predominant colour will bring forward those properties the most; so for instance, if it is mainly purple in colour, it will stimulate the Third Eye Chakra whilst a predominance of green will work on the Heart Chakra and bring forward an understanding of issues which affect the heart emotions.

Rainbow Fluorite is associated with the following Goddesses: Vac, the Hindu Goddess of the Spoken Word; she was the Goddess who is said to have uttered the OM of creation, and is the mother of the four sacred Vedas; Itzpapalotl, the Aztec Butterfly Goddess who is the ruler of Tamoanchan, the beautiful paradise world, and is also a skeletal Warrior Goddess.

Insight & Intuition

Rainbow Fluorite is not associated with any particular Angel. However, Archangel Chamuel resonates with Fluorite in general; his name means “He who sees God” or “He who seeks God.” He is the Patron Angel of Personal and Global Peace and Calmness.

Rainbow Fluorite is primarily associated with the Third Eye or Brow Chakra (Ajna) relating to insight, intuition, awareness and guidance. Its secondary Chakras are the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) relating to spiritual connection, understanding and enlightenment; and the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) relating to communication; and is from where you speak your truth. Fluorite is known to cleanse all of the chakras.

In crystal healing, Rainbow Fluorite is said to help with symptoms relating to the following illnesses and areas of the body: ADD/ADHD, arthritis, bone disorders and breaks, bone strengthening, concentration, coordination, dental pain, ear, eye, nose and throat, digestive disorders, focus, gallbladder, herpes, kidney disorders, lungs, memory, muscle toning, nutrient/mineral/vitamin absorption, nutrition, pain relief, pneumonia, rheumatism, sinus, spleen, ulcers and viruses.

Emotionally, Rainbow Fluorite is said to assist with denial, dispelling or releasing negativity, eating disorders, emotional balance and honesty. On a spiritual level, it can help with grounding, increasing and enhancing intuition and manifestation.

Rainbow Fluorite is not a traditional or ancient birthstone but is, in general, a modern birthstone for the Zodiac signs of Capricorn (22nd December - 19th January) and Pisces (19th February to 20th March).

Rainbow Fluorite is a perfect crystal for meditating with to help you to reach a more tranquil centred feeling. You can visualise its energy cleansing your chakras and then allow it to reveal either the deep cause of a chronic illness or pain and/or the truth of a relationship to you. If necessary use it to release suppressed feelings and in order to facilitate a life change.
